About Us

I am Carole Cherry, web developer, publisher and black belt autism mom for more than 20 years. The journey from personhood to parenthood was not an easy one for me and autism complicated things even further. My first child, Iris, is severely autistic, non-verbal with cognitive delays, severe scoliosis and a chromosomal anomaly that they believe caused her autism.

My Girls are Very Different Kids

My second child, Lily, is very high functioning – she was mainstreamed in school with just a 504, but now that she is in college, her symptoms have really strengthened and she has been diagnosed with ADD, autism and a coordination disorder.

Everything about them is opposite. One loves to go out, the other really wants to stay home. One loves animals, the other is afraid of animals. It is like that in every aspect of their lives – so much so that solutions for one kid seldom work for the other.

My Parents are Naturopathic Physicians

Lucky for me, my parents are experts in natural health solutions. They provided so much help and assistance with all manner of issues while my kids were growing up, I felt compelled to share this valuable information with others – and I continue to add to the list, as new things come up.

Sharing what worked for us

By now I am sharing every single thing that has helped us. Social Stories were crucial for school and medical procedures – particularly when Iris had full spinal fusion surgery in 2016. GFCF diet made a big difference for us in their overall health and their ability to concentrate. Helpful links that helped transition to adulthood, and so much more.
